CHICAGO, Sept. 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- September 17-19, 2007, the Wm. Wrigley Jr. Company (NYSE: WWY - News) welcomes confectioners and retailers from around the world to the National Confectioners Association''s (NCA) All Candy Expo, the largest confectionery and snack show in the Americas. The show, held at the McCormick Center, just two miles south of the iconic Wrigley Building on Michigan Avenue, brings together more than 2,000 sweet and tasty treats for an in-depth look at industry innovation and trends.
"This year has been exciting for Wrigley with the launch of our newest, ground breaking brand 5(TM) which is the most exciting news in gum since Orbit launched in 2001," said Paul Chibe, Vice President of US Consumer Marketing. Thus far in 2007, Wrigley has unveiled nine new products in the U.S.; each launch includes a range of new ingredient and flavor combinations, packaging and product format:
-- 5(TM) is a new sugar-free stick gum with mouth-freshening, long-lasting flavor and invigorating sensations you feel as you chew. The gum, available in Rain(TM) (a tingling spearmint), Cobalt(TM) (a cooling peppermint), and Flare(TM) (a warming cinnamon), is in a revolutionary black package with sleek graphics. -- Altoids? Chocolate Dipped Mints combine the curiously strong flavor of Altoids? with a rich, dark chocolate. The premium mints are available in Peppermint, Ginger and Cinnamon in the classic Altoids tin and Peppermint and Cinnamon in a 4 oz stand-up carton found in the candy aisle. With only 15 calories and 0.5g of fat per two mint serving, Altoids Chocolate Dipped Mints are a tasty, everyday treat. -- Eclipse Fusion(TM) is sugar-free pellet gum that blends unexpected fruit choices with cool mint flavors.
